Healing Edamame Dip, and thoughts for the new journey ahead...

I have spent the past day on course, learning the ins and outs of counselling Holistic Nutrition from a business perspective - it has given me a tonne to work on, an left me with so much in my head, that I will need a couple days to get it all squared away! I plan on taking up practice next week...in light of that, I am adding this quote, written by Marianne Williamson - probably one we've all read before, but it felt appropriate today...

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us, it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

And now a healing recipe for the chilly weather - I like raw veg. or seed crackers (like Mary's) for dipping...

Healing Edamame Dip:

Puree together....
1 cup cooked edamame (steam or simmer 3-5 mins.)
1/2 cup artichoke hearts (cooked, or jarred and rinsed)
1 big clove garlic
2 tsp. grated ginger
1tsp honey
zest of a lemon
lemon juice to taste
2 Tb. raw apple cider vinegar
1/2 tsp. sesame oil toasted
1 Tb. flax oil
chiles, salt and cilantro to taste

Play with the quantities to suit your preference - you can beef it up with white bean or chick peas pureed as well...
