From the ashes of our past...

I found it a good time, and have decided to write.
I am on the Eve of the final day of a life I have been living for the past six years.
I am making a change.
I feel sick, nervous, excited, unsure, overwhelmed, but confident.

Tomorrow will be my last day as a Cheesemaker at the Woolwich Dairy. I have learned so much in the past six years - so much about life, people, relationships, patience, about myself, about kindness towards and among others, and about what we ALL go through in life just to make the day to day happen...and about happiness. I have the highest respect for the Team I have been a part of, dare I say, the family I became a part of - and am profoundly changed for my time spent in the company of these great people. I will miss that life.

Yet, I am moving on. I think I was designed to cook. It is both what brings me joy, and what challenges me endlessly at the same time. As of the end of tomorrow's work day, I am heading back to the kitchen to be a Chef again. I am going to join some good friends and get my kitchen mojo back, all in preparation for opening my own Joint this coming summer, 2019. It is time - I have my eye on the spot; meetings have been met, and plans have been planning - this will be amazing! I will have soooo much more to write on the subject as the time draws closer and plans become solidified - lots of subject matter and photos to boot...so much planning ahead.

However, this is not the only big change going on...
I know you are all wondering, "But Sarah, when will you have time to ride your bike?"
Well, let me tell you this...

I am really excited to announce that I have joined up with the Growler Performance Bikes Factory Team for the wonderful winter season to come, and seasons beyond!
I have made a commitment to myself, and to Growler, to maintain a full compliment of training, racing, and having a wicked time on two wheels, and I fully intend to uphold this commitment.
I can't tell you how happy I am to join this relationship, and look forward to giving it my all for the Growler Team. As the Canadian on the team, you will find me doing the Ontario races, some Que., NY, and Michigan (maybe even Colorado at the end of January? Fingers crossed :) I look forward to joining the team at some of the NY and Michigan races - very excited to meet my fellow Growlers!

Working on my Riot face...

I am starting the season on the Growler Mr. Big Stuff, and have had a few great rides on him this fall, but can't wait to put him through his paces a little more in the weeks to come. So far, it's love...he needs a name...I am sure there will be lots of photos and blog-blerbs to come!

Hey there, Mr Big Stuff!

So, there you have it. An initial foray into a habit of writing regularly; a bit of information on what is to come, and a glimpse into what my future will look like for the next little while!

Join me for a ride, won't you?
Until next time...:)

Jess...best friend ever
